KEY RULES

4v4 on the field with a GK (5 players in total playing)

Maximum 3 players on the bench with interchange subs

Continuous play - no throw ins.

x2 20 minute halves with a 5 minute HT period. Players will have access to half pitch 10 minutes prior to KO to prepare for the game.

FREE KICKS

All free kicks are indirect - Must be a pass or dribble first.
Defending team to be 3 steps away from the ball

PENALTY KICKS

A Penalty kick will be given if a player from the other team steps inside the penalty box. The penalty kick is taken from the penalty point with all players behind the ball. If the player taking the kick hits the post and the ball stays in the square - A goal kick is given. If both players enter the square at the exact same time it’s “Play on”

GOAL KICKS

Goal Kicks are taken from either side of the goal where the “taker” decides to dribble or pass to a teammate to restart the game. All players from the other team must be in their own half so players can practice playing out from the back without being in a high pressure situation. Once the ball has been played from the first touch, opponents can enter. If the ball goes in the no go square at any time, the referee will call a goal kick. A player can of course decide to play quickly even if an opponent is running back to their half to restart play.

A goal kick must be passes with feet from the GK to a player inside there own half. the GK can not throw the ball forward into opponents half on the goal kicks.

+1 Rule

+1 Rule: If a team falls behind by 3 goals, they may add an additional player at any point in the game (whether in the first or second half) until the score is tied. If they bring the score back to a draw, the game will return to the 4v4 format. We believe this adjustment will provide both a rewarding challenge for the leading team and renewed momentum for the team behind.
